Restaurant Pitches
This authentic Mexican style restaurant Cabo Wabo Cantina, found inside the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino understands the need for spice with the El Santo. Made with Sammy’s very own Santo Mezquila, freshly crushed jalapeños, OJ and pineapple juice, chipotle pepper and agave. Is served on the rocks and hits the spot for one's spicy needs. Looking for more, then the Cilantro jalapeño chicken brings the heat. A grilled breast with jalapeño, pistachio cilantro pesto, onion, pepper jack cheese and jalapeño ranch, served over a Mexican squash with roasted corn, tomatoes, poblano peppers and topped with crispy onions.

Inspired by the delicious flavors of Mexico Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant, found in the Durango Casino and Resort, combines spice and flavor with fire roasted shrimp tacos. Made with grilled shrimp, cabbage, chipotle aioli, pico de gallo and fire roasted salsa, this meal is the way to celebrate Hot and Spicy Day.
Here to give a traditional, fun and festive experience, Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant located in the Downtown Summerlin shopping center is the place to celebrate National Fajita Day. With the first option of a ½ pan of fajitas that feeds 6 to 8 people and priced at $120. The second option is a full pan of fajitas that feeds 12 to 14 people and is priced at $240. Both meals come with the choice of chicken, steak or both and includes flour or corn tortillas. The perfect way to go all out for National Fajita Day.

Wanting a delicious and flavorful experience for National Fajita Day, Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant is the place to be. Based in the Durango Casino and Resort, they offer a rich selection of menu choices and a divine dining experience. With the Sizzling Fajitas Plate being the way to go, it comes with the option of savory and tasty meats like carne asada, marinated chicken or blackened shrimp.
The L.A Comedy Club August Lineup
The L.A. Comedy Club is the place for all comedy enthusiasts to meet for a great night of fun. With three shows nightly featuring hilarious stand-up comedians, guests will be amused for the entire month of August. Every night, the 8 p.m. time slot is reserved for incredibly talented touring comedians and this month guests will find some Las Vegas favorites- K-VON, Byron Kennedy and JC Currais.
Nevada’s own K-VON will be performing from August 5 through August 11. Originally from Reno, Nevada, and a graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School, he is self-dubbed “the most famous half-Persian comedian in the world,” The Nevada native has the ability to cater his comedy to all events from charity galas to the late-night Las Vegas crowds. From comedy clubs to theaters to colleges and large non-profit organizations, his comedy is both versatile and relatable to audiences around the world. Best known for hosting MTV’s “Disaster Date”, he is also featured in NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” Netflix, Showtime and has gained millions of views online with sketches, stand-up comedy clips, and a viral ‘TED Talk’ video. K-VON stands out through his storytelling and high energy performances when dealing with any topic at hand.
From August 19 to August 25, Byron Kennedy takes the stage. Byron is no stranger to Las Vegas, from open mics to being the original headliner at Vegas Stand Up & Rock inside OYO Hotel and Casino, he has become a local favorite. He had a highly successful career in radio and the music industry before he left it all behind to pursue his passion for comedy. Kennedy had an iconic response to his success, stating “I f— hate meetings.” Kennedy leaned into his comedy side hustle and took any slot he could at clubs in Nashville and Los Angeles, all while working as a record label executive. His irreverent, observational style and natural storytelling worked and led him to a four-night opening gig in Las Vegas. After working and securing gigs, Byron signed a comedy album deal with BMG/Broken Bow, the record label he previously hated being in meetings for. He has since toured extensively throughout the United States and overseas and in October 2022, he made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Kennedy is a comedy force to be reckoned with as his first comedy special is filmed and set to be released soon.

Guests can laugh along with JC Currais as he takes the stage from August 26 to September 1. Born and raised in Miami, JC Currais presence is as big as his imagination when mixing his high-energy performance and his larger-than-life persona. Currais was named one of TBS’s “Top Comics to Watch” at the New York Comedy Festival and one of the New Faces of Comedy at the “Just For Laughs Festival” in Montreal. He has been on the Last Call with Carson Daly, TBS’s “CONAN” and was a writer on Comedy Central’s “TripTank.” Currais has also done acting jobs on FOX’s “Lethal Weapon”, BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood” and made his film debut in the Sundance Film Festival feature “New Low.” Currais is taking the comedy world by storm with opening for comedians like Steve Byrne, Hannibal Burress, Whitney Cummings, Kyle Kinane and Ralphie May.
Toasted Elvis French Toast Pitch
Elvis Presley, known as the“King of Rock and Roll,” made history with his first residency show at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on July 31, 1969. This landmark performance set the standard for future residencies and cemented Elvis’ legacy in Las Vegas.
To honor the 55th anniversary of this iconic event, Toasted Gastrobrunch is showcasing its version of his favorite meal, the Elvis French Toast. Inspired by Elvis’ love for peanut butter and banana sandwiches, this dish puts a twist on the classic meal, featuring slices of cooked bananas and crispy bacon drizzled in sweet honey, nestled between two slices of brioche bread filled with peanut butter spread and cooked to toasted perfection.
We would love to bring this unique culinary tribute to your viewers by having Toasted’s head chef come on air. The chef can talk about how this dish was inspired by The King and demonstrate how to create this delectable dish so Elvis fans can make their own version at home.
LACC Edgewater August Lineup Pitch
The acts for the L.A Comedy Club at the Edgewater Hotel Casino and Resort are not to be missed. Guests will be cracking up all of August with an incredibly hilarious lineup. This month, Wednesday through Sunday, the 6 p.m and 8 p.m time slots are filled with hilarious comedians Ron Joso, Patrick Garrity and Chris Cope.
Guests can join the hilarious Jose Raymond August 7 through August 11. From the projects of Watts in Nickerson Gardens, Los Angeles to Hawaii then back to California, Jose Raymond has turned his hard times into laughs on his path to becoming a top standup comedian. After an incredibly successful career on tour, Jose moved his family back to Hawaii for a peaceful life. Unfortunately, due to a devastating wildfire they were forced to evacuate and Jose returned to the stage to continue the journey for his family, showing that without a doubt that Jose is determined in the face of adversity. Jose has graced the famed stages of Apollo Theater, Hollywood Laugh Factory, Improv, Comedy Store, and HaHa Comedy Club with his charismatic personality and hilarious sense of humor.
August 14 through August 18, Patrick Garrity will hit the stage with his cutting edge comedy. Starting comedy at an early age, Patrick is seen as a veteran of the comedy road with his great timing and wit. Having the reputation as a “talented comedian” with a “bright future” Garrity shows this through his characters, impressions, real-life situations, energized stories about being in the military, growing up as a younger brother and why the Irish don't trash talk. Patrick is a must see comedian as he was on NBC and CBS “Comedy Night School” and has performed in clubs around the country.

The Florida-native turned LA local, Chris Cope, will be performing August 21 through August 25. Winning the “Big Sky Comedy Festival” in 2015, Chris has proved that his cleverly written standup about everyday life and crowd interaction blends easily. Chris has been on TBS’s “Conan,” FOX’s “Laughs,” Comedy Central’s “Tosh.0,” ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,""Grey’s Anatomy” and in 2018 appeared as a guest judge twice on Netflix’s culinary show “Cooking on High.” Chris’ Southern Charm has graced on the comedy stage, national television and he has recently released a comedy album called “White Trash Super Computer,'' which debuted in the Top 10 on Amazon and Top 25 on Itunes. Chris can be found on Pandora, Spotify or headlining comedy clubs all over the United States.
